Notarization and Authentication

For the notarization of documents at the Embassy of Timor-Leste in London, the following requirements must be satisfied:

  • Complete and submit Notarization application form;
  • Provide the original copy of the notarial document legalized by FCO;
  • The application must be made in person or through a legally entrusted person, who must show the document to that effect. The Embassy does not accept application by currier;
  • At the time of submission of the application, the person must present a valid passport or a valid ID Card, a copy of which must be submitted with the documents;
  • In case of a company or an organization, representative submitting must also present proof of his or her affiliation to the company or the organization.

At the time of submission, the consular officer will inform you of the date and the authentication process will be completed. If that date and time cannot be determined immediately, you will be informed of it by email. Any queries about the status of your document before the determined date will be ignored.
